Canadian Citizenship and Canadian Passport
All resident immigrants have the right to Canadian citizenship
and Canadian passport after three (3) years of actual
residence on condition that they stay two (2) years in
a five (5) year period. These two years of residence must
not necessarily be consecutive; persons that reside abroad
may accumulate the required time only in the following
cases:
-
When accompanying a Canadian spouse
and also in the case of accompanying their children.
-
When working abroad as an employee or
representative of a Canadian company or established
Canadian society.
-
When working abroad as an employee or
representative of the Provincial or Federal Government.
How can you apply for Canadian
Citizenship?
Adults older than 18 years of age who have legal permanent
resident status in Canada and have accumulated three (3)
years of residency.
